Summary Law enforcement agencies conducted search operation in Lahore on Tuesday and arrested 77 suspects.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - At least 77 suspects were taken into custody during joint search operation conducted by police, Rangers and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in different parts of Lahore on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details the search operation was carried out in Faisal Town, Kot Lakhpat, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Garden Town, Data Darbar, Race Course, Civil Lines and Nawan Kot areas of the city.
The law enforcement agencies checked hostels, hotels and guest houses situated in these areas. House-to-house search was also conducted at some places.
The law enforcement agencies also used biometric device for the identification on the residents and arrested 77 suspects who failed to provide any identification document. Police sources said that the search operation was carried out to maintain law and order situation in these areas.
Police sources also informed that strict monitoring also continues in the localities adjacent to the Mall Road in the wake of Sri Lanka cricket team’s tour of Lahore.
