Summary Some unidentified persons blew the 18-inch Qatar gas pipeline using explosive material. This pipeline enters the OCH Power Plant in Naseerabad and following this incident, the electricity supply to various areas got suspended.
The gas pipeline providing gas supply to Naseerabad, Jaffarabad and Sui was blown using explosive material in early hours of Wednesday. After this incident, a deficit of almost 596 MW is being faced by the power plant. The security forces cordoned off the whole area after the blast; however no arrest has been made so far in this respect. A few days ago, the same gas pipeline was exploded in the area of Rabbi; it is the second time in a month that same pipeline has been exploded.
