Summary Newly married couple along with participants of the wedding was looted by the dacoits on Super Highway, Dunya News reported.
The dacoits stopped the wedding coaches in the jurisdiction of Sachal Police Station near toll plaza in Nazimabad area of Karachi and looted the wedding procession. The dacoits took jewellery from the women and snatched cash and valuables from other participants.According to groom, Zahid, the dacoits riding motorcycles looted the wedding coaches for a long time but the police did not arrive on the scene in spite of immediate information.Bride, groom and participants of the wedding staged a protest sit-in on Super Highway against the incident. The police assured the protesters to arrest the dacoits as soon as possible.In another incident, dacoits started firing on a van for not stopping. Resultantly, one person was killed while two persons sustained injuries.Earlier, Muhammad Yousif died as a result of firing on his car in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi.
