(Web Desk) – A ‘broken’, incarcerated lawmaker Jamshed Dasti has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) on Thursday to take notice of the alleged torture he is being subjected to in Sargodha jail.
In a video that went viral on social media, a crying Dasti is seen pleading to the CJP from inside a police vehicle.

“For the sake of God, save me!” the Member of National Assembly (MNA) said.
He was detained three weeks earlier for allegedly inciting Muzaffargarh locals against the government and releasing water in a Muzaffargarh canal as according to him, the farmers were denied sufficient amount for crops.
The gates were closed for several months owing to litigation however, Dasti opened those despite warning of the irrigation officials.
He has complained of forced starvation in a cell for the past six days. Dasti has maintained that his sister suffers of a stage-III cancer while his mother is not well.
He said that this was not a tenure of former dictator Musharraf but a democratic setup and the CJP must took take suo moto notice of the torture and alleged bogus cases against him.
He complained of being kept in a scorpions-infested cell.
Chief Justice (CJ) of Lahore High Court (LHC) has taken notice of the torture allegations.

Speaker of the National Assembly (NA), Ayaz Sadiq was urged by opposition in the House to issue production order for Dasti however, no notification has been issued until today.
