Summary SBP said all banks will remain closed for public dealings on next Monday
(Web Desk) – The State Bank of Pakistan announced on Thursday that ‘Bank Holiday’ will be observed on July 3, 2017. There will be no public dealings in all banks across the country during the coming Monday.
SBP said July 3 will mark Bank Holiday for all sorts of public dealings. The press release said all public and private banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Micro Finance Banks (MFBs) will remain closed during the Bank Holiday.
However, all the staff of these banks, DFIs and MFBs will attend office and resume their tasks as usual. They will not get a holiday and carry out office activities.
The SBP notification was issued on July 29, 2017.
