Summary Ahsan foreboded that the JIT would give its verdict under pressure and not freely as it should
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition leader in Senate, Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has alleged leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of raising questions over Joint Investigation Team (JIT) regarding Panama Leaks as a pressure tactic.
He said that it is unlawful to have one’s counsel accompany him during investigation proceedings. He endorsed Supreme Court’s (SC) rejection to entertain reservations of Hussain Nawaz, premier’s son over members of the JIT.
He said that the petitioners were aware that the top court would not entertain their plea however, they continued with the process just as a pressure tactic.
Opposition leader foreboded that the JIT would give its verdict under pressure and not freely as it should.
He said that the PML-N leaders should have objected to Dawn Leaks probe also as representatives of Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) were part of the probe.
