Summary Police claim that they have arrested three extortionists. Relatives of the arrestees said that the case made by the police is baseless and false.
The Karachi Police force has often presented baseless cases with exaggeration. A similar incident took place during a press conference called by DPO Korangi, Usman Ghani. He stated that police had arrested 3 extortionist youngsters Zeeshan alias Shani, Rameez Raja and Fardeen Arif Nooni. They also recovered a snatched motor cycle.DPO said that their group leader resided in South Africa who used to guide and give orders to these extortionists. Surprisingly the DPO did not have much information about these so called criminals. When journalist asked questions about the matter the DPO was seen referring to his Sub ordinate for answers.As the press conference was being held, the family and neighbors of the accused came to the DPO office and protested against the police. They claimed that the police arrested Rameez and Fardeen from their houses last night and the arrest were made because the police constables had a personal vendetta against the two.
