Summary Currently in a financial crisis, Pakistan International Airlines is facing another crisis. The deadline to pay the fuel bill provided by the Pakistan State Oil company was expired. Fuel supply may be stopped which could stop PIA flights.
PIA is currently in a deal with PSO for the supply of fuel. Due to nonpayment of dues, PIA has now owes 9 crore rupees to PSO. The deadline put forth by PSO expired today.PSO spokesperson Maryam Shah said that the company will wait till tomorrow for the payment of due from PIA and all other defaulting companies and if the dues are not paid by then, the decision to stop the supply of fuel will be taken.On the other hand, according to the PIA Spokesperson Mashood Tajur, negotiations with PSO are underway and the problem is likely to be resolved
