Panama Leaks case: SC seeks property settlement details after Mian Sharif's death

Summary Justice Khosa remarked that Maryam Nawaz is being accused of concealing assets.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – During the hearing of Panama Leaks case today (Wednesday), Supreme Court (SC) has sought details of property distribution after the death of Mian Sharif.

A five-member larger bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa resumed the hearing. Other judges in the bench include Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan.

Maryam Nawaz’s counsel Shahid Hamid told the court that Nawaz Sharif had written on nomination form that he lives in his mother’s house.

Justice Khosa asked that Captain Safdar didn’t submit tax return in 2011 on which the lawyer said that Rs28,000 fine is there for such people. He continued that Captain Safdar paid tax from his salary.

Justice Khosa remarked that Maryam Nawaz is being accused of concealing assets.

Counsel Shahid Hamid said here, the question is not of constitutional disqualification.
