RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - Outgoing Army Chief General Raheel on Tuesday said India’s aggressive posture is a serious threat to the regional peace and security.
General Raheel Sharif gave these remarks in his farewell address on the occasion of change of command ceremony at Army Hockey Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Services Chiefs, former services chiefs, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, members of the Federal Cabinet, parliamentarians and senior civil and military officials attended the ceremony.

On the occasion, General Raheel warned India that it would be dangerous to consider Pakistan’s policy of restraint as its weakness.
Durable peace and progress in South Asia is linked with resolution of the Kashmir dispute, and this requires special attention of the international community, he added.
The outgoing COAS said implementation of the National Action Plan would continue till realization of the goal of complete peace.
General Raheel Sharif said during his service, his every decision was motivated by national interests and priorities.
He said was his efforts that all institutions work together for security and prosperity of the country.
He said it is need of the hour for the nation and the institutions to work in harmony towards off external threats. For this purpose, internal weaknesses including criminality, extremism and corruption will have to be eradicated.
General Raheel Sharif thanked the entire nation, armed forces, Pakistan Rangers, Levies, security agencies and police for fully backing and supporting the mission to defend and secure the motherland.
