RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - General Qamar Javed Bajwa will assume command of Pakistan Army at an impressive ceremony at GHQ in Rawalpindi today (Tuesday).
The outgoing Army Chief General Raheel Sharif will hand over the traditional Malacca Cane to General Qamar Javed Bajwa as a symbol of change of command.
Earlier, General Raheel Sharif and General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada at GHQ in Rawalpindi.
General Raheel Sharif laid flowers at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. General Raheel Sharif and the contingent of armed forces presented salute to the Shuhada. He also offered fateha.
Senior officers of the Army were present on the occasion.
