Imran Khan hopeful of getting justice in Panama Leaks case

Summary NAB and FBR are required to investigate the issue honestly, Khan said.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Thursday said that he is satisfied with today’s hearing held by Supreme Court over Panama Leaks matter.

Talking to media outside SC, Khan said that today is a big day in the history of Pakistan‘s democracy as the court has summoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in disqualification case.

He said that SC has played its role by assuring to give justice now, National Accountability Bureau and Federal Bureau of Revenue are required to honestly investigate the issue.

Staging peaceful protest is our constitutional right if denied justice, he added.

On the other hand, Supreme Court has issued notices to PM Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz in Panama Leaks case. 

PTI, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Awami Muslim League in their petitions urged the apex court to set up a commission to investigate Panama Leaks issue and for the disqualification of the Prime Minister for concealing assets.
