Summary Quetta attack an attempt to influence success achieved in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, says COAS
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday directed all intelligence agencies and commanders to speed up the combing operation against terrorists, further ordering that the sleeping cells of the terrorists be exterminated at the earliest, reported Dunya News.
Corps Commanders’ Conference commenced under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday. The country’s internal and external security situation was overviewed in the meeting. Participants of the meeting expressed solidarity with the victims of the Quetta blast that claimed the lives of 71 people.
While addressing to the conference, General Raheel said that the achievements made against the terrorists shall not be lost. He further added that the attack was an attempt to influence the success achieved in Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
