Summary Turkish Foreign Minister backed Pakistan's stance over Kashmir

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Tuesday met with Advisor to the Prime Minister (PM) on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz during his one-day trip to the country. Turkish Foreign Minister thanked Pakistan for supporting against the coup and for passing resolution in the parliament for backing democracy in Turkey, reported Dunya News.

While addressing a press conference along with Sartaj, Cavusoglu demanded that the chain of schools adminstred by Fethullah Gulen be shut down. He expressed his hope that Pakistan shall support Turkey in this regards.

While answering a question related to Jammu and Kashmir, Turkish Foreign Minister stated that Turkey fully endorsed Pakistan’s stance over the disputed territory. He added that the only solution to Kashmir could be traced through dialogue and diplomacy.

Sartaj Aziz stated that the Turkish people foiled the rebellion against democracy, adding that Pakistan was looking into the matter of the schools administered by Gulen. He said that both Pakistan and Turkey were battling against terrorism together.

Sartaj thanked Cavusoglu for endorsing Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir.
