Summary Govt should refrain from forcing joint Opposition from taking the streets, says Khurshid Shah
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah has stated that deadlock over the formulation of the Terms of References (TORs) that cater the Panama Leaks issue still persists between the government and Opposition, adding that the government is showing not being flexible in regards to the matter, reported Dunya News on Monday.
While conversing with the media outside the Parliament House, Shah said that the government intends to push the Opposition to the streets through its attitude. He further added that the government needs to take a step back but it always realises the sensitivity of matters after the damage has been done.
Shah said that the government should refrain from forcing the joint Opposition from taking the streets as this shall be the last solution the Opposition parties will have.
While commenting upon the Federal Budget, Shah said that the budget was pointless as it was prepared and presented without any planning. “The government’s priorities have not been mentioned anywhere in the budget”, he said, further stating that the budget reserved for important sectors like education has been reduced instead of being increased.
