Summary Government has presented fresh recommendations to the opposition.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The government has proposed amendments in the opposition’s terms of reference (TORs) regarding sale and purchase of assets abroad. The government has agreed to provide complete details of taxes paid by Sharif family since 1985, Dunya News reported.
According to fresh recommendations, the judicial commission can scrutinise Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family’s income tax and wealth tax details. The commission will ascertain either Protection of Economic Reforms Act 1992 or foreign exchange law has been violated or not.
Investigation could be initiated if there is any evidence that the amount was transferred to other countries to purchase property, the government suggested, adding that the commission can also scrutinise Prime Minister’s nomination papers submitted before 2013 general elections.
