Summary Apparently Farmer Package is in violation of Article 84: Justice Isa

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court on Wednesday raised questions over Farmer Package and its pending-approval from parliament while Justice Qazi Faez Isa gave remarks over the issue and said that parliament should be locked if important issues cannot be discussed in there, reported Dunya News.

During the hearing Advocate Salman Akram Raja said that the government has been providing Rs 500 subsidy per sack of fertiliser to farmers through industries importing raw material.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa gave remarks and said that under which law government has approved Rs 12.5 billion for fertiliser manufactures? He questioned if this package was approved by Punjab Assembly. Apparently Farmer Package is in violation of Article 84, he added.
