LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif will be presenting his stance over Panama leaks issue in the National Assembly (NA) convened by NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

PM will be answering joint opposition’s questions regarding his family’s assets and case related to their names inlcuded in Panama Leaks.

According to the details, the PM will be arriving in the National Assembly after a period of two months. He will be presenting his stance alongwith answering seven questions which were formed by the opposition in the matter.

During his address to the NA, PM Nawaz will announce government s policy statement regarding investigation of Panama leaks against his family.

Opposition parties held a meeting before sessions of the National Assembly and the Senate begin. The parties have discussed a strategy that the opposition will adopt if Ayaz Sadiq does not allow the members to speak after PM’s speech.

According to the analysts, a decisive outcome of either tensions escalating or decreasing would be seen over the Panama Leaks fiasco after today’s NA session.

Senates session began at 4 pm while the Lower House will meet at 5 pm. Both the houses will discuss important national issues besides carrying out legislative business.

Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Khurshid Shah has said that the opposition members would be patient all through the NA session, adding that he would hear out the PM first and then would offer oppositions stance.

The opposition parties have called a meeting today before the session to discuss their course of action after Prime Ministers speech in the National Assembly.

On the other hand, PM Nawaz Sharif held a consultative meeting with government members and discussed the issue.

Khurshid Shah, while talking to the media in his chamber, said that the opposition could not hold its horses now as the nation would accuse it of colluding with the alleged corrupt government after cutting a deal.

Separately, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq is of the opinion that Panama Leaks issue would not be resolved through Prime Minister s speech in the National Assembly but the government needed to enter a dialogue situation with the opposition over Terms of References (TORs).
