Summary Political interests and administrative activities are continuously acting as a hurdle
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – 512 Koh-e-Noor Flats located at Jaranwala Road had been allotted to industrial workers 40 years ago and now have been declared dangerous to reside by district administration, reported Dunya News.
The government or any other department never looked into the matter and never tried to repair the flats. In 2014 experts inspected the flats and declared them dangerous to live and now, this week city administration also declared them unlivable but the residents are not ready to leave.
According district administration, flats have reached their termination date and can collapse at any moment. On the other hand, public representatives are busy advocating the residents, securing votes and are not in favour of clearing the flats.
Protection of life and property of citizens is the first duty of the state but political interests and administrative activities are continuously acting as a hurdle to do so.
