LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday said that there are no terrorist hide-outs and no-go areas in Punjab and that increased capability and capacity of the intelligence agencies have helped to eliminate terrorism from the country, reported Dunya News.

Rana Sana has spoken to a joint press conference with Home Secretary and IG Punjab where he said that there are no safe-havens and no-go areas in Punjab. Some people are trying to please someone by releasing such statements, he added.

He also said that despite propagating false news, they should inform the government of such activities and added that such operations have also been done previously. The terrorists and their supporters have been uprooted in Punjab as 56 operations have been performed by the police while 16 by CTD, he added.

The Law Minister also said that on the basis of intelligence reports, joint operations are done by police, elite force, Rangers and Pakistan Army as 24 terrorists have been killed this year and 88 terrorists last year.

Sanaullah said that increased intelligence capacity and capability have helped to eradicate terrorism from the country and the public should also participate in sharing intelligence with the authorities. He vowed to eradicate terrorism form the country until the last terrorist is taken out.
