LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif Saturday stated that his bleeds over the unfortunate suicide bomb attack in Lahore. Grieving the loss, PM Nawaz added that terrorists had targeted the sons, daughters, brothers and sisters of his nation.
He expressed these emotions while chairing a high level meeting after a suicide bomb blast in Lahore’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, which left at least 71 dead and more than 300 wounded, with causalities primarily being children. He has cancelled his visit to London and will be leaving for the US after 2 days.
According to the details, the 4-hour long meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar, Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Director-General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), DG Military Intelligence (IM) and concerned commanders.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Nawaz stated that the the nation should unite and fight against terrorism.
PM Nawaz has advised that he should be updated at every moment on the investigation of the incident.
