PM meets CM Shah, Governor Ishrat to discuss Karachi situation

Summary Revival of complete peace will bring a new era of progress in the city, the PM said.

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with with Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to discuss Sindh situation.

DG Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar and Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif was also briefed about the overall law and order situation in Sindh.

He has reaffirmed the commitment to take the Karachi operation to its logical conclusion to purge the metropolis of all crimes.
Later, addressing the ground-breaking ceremony of Green Line Bus Transport System in Karachi, the Prime Minister said incidents of target killings, kidnapping for ransom and other violent acts have reduced to a great extent in the city.

He said the situation will continue to improve as the government is firm in his commitment to restore peace.

PM Nawaz said the revival of complete peace will bring a new era of progress and development in the city.

Paramilitary Rangers as well as the police have been engaged in a three-year long anti-militant and crime operation in Karachi due to which there is a significant decrease in the incidents of street crime and terrorism.
