Sindh CM irked as kidnapping cases on rise in city

Summary Qaim Ali Shah raged on Sindh police for not nabbing the kidnappers completely.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah expressed his displeasure on Wednesday to the Inspector General (IG) Sindh for unsatisfactory control over short-term kidnapping for ransom incidents as criminals still run rampant throught the city. 

According to details, short-term crimes of abduction could not be stopped despite the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi. The government of Sindh has finally noticed the frequent incidents and Sindh police has now decided to intensify action against kidnappers after the CM’s anguish over the issue. 

Kidnappers abduct common citizens and businessmen on gunpoint and take ransoms of thousands sometimes millions of rupees either by forcing the victim to withdraw money from auto teller machines (ATMs) or by other means.
 
Sindh CM raged on Sindh police for not nabbing the kidnappers and showed dissatisfaction over the law enforcement agencies  progress in this regard.
 
Security forces are now redesigning strategies to overcome the menace of kidnapping. Law enforcement agencies said that reports regarding kidnapping incidents not were filed by citizens thus data for such crimes could also not be collected.
