Summary Govt machinery was on its toes making sure that quorum is not disrupted while passing crucial bill

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Punjab government had to take some drastic measures on Wednesday to ensure that the quorum is maintained in order to get the significant Women Protection Bill passed by the assembly, reported Dunya news.

On the orders of the bureaucracy of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, 11 Deputy Secretaries were stationed at the stairs of the Punjab Assembly making sure that no member leaves the assembly before the bill gets passed.

To ensure that the quorum is not disrupted, the state machinery had started its work early morning and whether it be provincial ministers or members of the assembly, permission to leave the assembly premises was granted after the approval of the bill.
