LAHORE (Dunya News) - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir Siraj ul Haq has announced on Tuesday to start a countrywide movement against corruption from March 1, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, the Amir of JI was speaking to the media after a meeting of the central committee of the party in JI center Mansoora. Siraj said that it was due to corruption that inflation and unrest was making the lives of the general public difficult. Siraj told the media that corruption worth Rs 12 billion was done in Pakistan on daily basis, which is equal to a whopping 4320 billion rupees annually.

Siraj said that the struggle against corruption was a national responsibility and every conscientious person should help JI in this movement. JI Amir said that the cancer of corruption was a cause of concern for the national security, democracy and the electoral process. Siraj vowed to end corruption in Pakistan.
