Summary Investigation regarding irregularities while giving away contracts to be initiated
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The filing of references against Dr. Asim has been approved during a meeting of the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) irregularities board on Friday, reported Dunya News. The meeting that was chaired by Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman decided to provide references to the accountability court against the various cases in which Dr. Asim is involved; these cases include: unlawful distribution of land, unfair distribution of natural gas and money laundering.
The board has also paved way to initiate investigation against Dr. Asim regarding irregularities being noted while giving away contracts by him through the Sui Gas company and the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), giving a hard blow to the national treasury of about 10 billion rupees.
The board has also started an inquiry against Member of Punjab Assembly Sardar Asif Nakai, National Highway Authority (NHA) officer Ashfaq Jumani and various other officials belonging to the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) and the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA).
