Summary Pakistan is shouldering its international responsibilities to the fullest, says Lodhi
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Permanent envoy to United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi has said that in addition to finding solutions for crisis-hit areas, political efforts are much needed, Dunya News reported Friday.
Lodhi was about to deliver a speech at a session of special committee regarding peace mission of the United Nations in New York when her microphone broke. The representative had to use Norwegian delegate’s microphone.
Pakistan is playing its role in UN’s peace mission, she said. Lodhi called for making sure that there are political solutions for issues in different areas.
She said that despite troubled affairs at home-level, Pakistan is shouldering its international responsibilities to the fullest.
