Federation sends request for extension of Rangers' powers to Sindh govt

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Federal government on Thursday sent a request to the Sindh government for extension of Rangers’ powers. Dunya News has obtained a copy of the letter.

According to the content of the letter, the special powers allowed to the Rangers will be ending on 3rd of February. The Federal Interior Ministry wrote to the government of Sindh for further extension in the deadline.

The extension in powers has been requested in regards to the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.

The request for the extension has been received by the government of Sindh.
