Summary Police however registered a case of looting, possession of illegal arms against the injured citizens
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police fake encounters continue in the city as 2 citizens were injured in shooting by the police in a phoney clash in Meeran Naka area. Police officials were once again seen busy in protecting the officers involved in the bogus encounter.
The method and the claims for the dubious clash made by the police remain the same, only the victims and the location was different. An investigate committee has been formed but it is headed by the same Superintendent of Police (SP) who is active in protecting his officers.
Two citizens Zakir and Farid were stopped earlier at a police blockade. Upon stopping, police opened fire on the individuals, injuring both.
The incidence was waved off as a clash by the police when it was highlighted in the media.
However, colleagues of the injured citizens were only seen praising their character and their work while eye witness accounts also tell another story.
Police however proceeded to register a case of looting and possession of illegal arms against the injured citizens.
