PULWAMA (Dunya News) – Indian troops on Wednesday have gunned down two innocent Kashmir locals.

Indian has long had resorted to unjust aggression in Kashmir. In the latest oppressing action, forces have martyred two locals in an operation which is continuing since last night.

Reportedly, the troops have circled a building where three other locals have taken shelter. Indian security personnel are continuing firing with intervals.

Earlier on January 15, thousands of Kashmiris protested in Srinagar, Pulwama, Islamabad, Bandipur and other parts against the martyrdom of a youth by Indian Army.

The protest was launched on appeals of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leaders Syed Ali Gillani and Shabbir Shah. The protesters hoisted Pakistani flags during the demonstrations. Gillani and Shah were under house arrest and not let to offer Friday prayers that day.

On January 5, Gillani said that India is ‘terrorist state’. He said that Kashmiris are not terrorists. “Kashmiris’ struggle is centered on self determination only”, he said. He added that India must read the writings on the wall and resolve Kashmir issue.

Talking exclusively to Dunya News from Srinagar on Kashmir’s Right of Self-Determination Day, Ali Gillani said that incidents like Pathankot would never help resolve Kashmir issue. He said that Pakistan-India dialogue is ‘nothing but a waste of time.’ He said that there is no hope for Kashmir issue to be resolved through these talks.

On January 2, militants had attacked India’s Pathankot airbase and killed at least seven security personnel. Pakistan and India Foreign Secretary-level talks, scheduled on January 15 were pushed further after the attack.
