HARIPUR (Dunya News) – Armed man in Haripur shot dead Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) district council member in premises of the court on Saturday.
According to details, Javed Khan had came to court to pursue a case when an unidentified man opened fire on him as a result of which he died on the spot.
The assailants managed to escape from the scene after committing the murder.
The incident spread fear and panic in the area.
Javed Khan was elected as district council member from the ticket of PML-N in UC-Kholian Bala.He was also attacked before during election campaign which severely injured him whereas his six guards died.
On the other hand, police has stated that the incident occurred as a result of longstanding rivalry.
