Summary Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah urged at the meeting to implement National Action Plan
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has directed to speed up Karachi operation during a meeting of Apex committee held on Wednesday, reported Dunya News.
A meeting of Apex committee was convenend in the metropolitan city as IG Sindh briefed the meeting as to how the attack on Military Police in Karachi was conducted. Rangers officials briefed about targeted operations as well. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad, Core Commander Naveed Mukhtar, Director General (DG) Rangers Bilal Akbar and other high officials of the security department. CM Sindh urged at the meeting to implement National Action Plan (NAP).
Speaking at the meeting, CM Sindh also declared that the operation will now be conducted in entire Sindh instead of only in Karachi.
The decision to form further 3 Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATC), recruit 8000 new police officers and 200 new prosecutors was also made during the meeting.
The details of the meeting were discussed by Advisor to CM Sindh on Information Maula Buksh Chandio. Chandio stated that terrorists are fleeing towards interior Sindh to escape the operation but they will be hunted down.
It was decided during the meeting that Karachi operation should be sped up while enemies of the state should be dealt with strictly. As per sources, accquital of prisoners involved in heinous crimes was also discussed.
