KARACHI (Dunya News) – Army and Rangers personnel have been given right to take action as per Anti Terrorism Act on Wednesday. Personnel have been allowed to enter a polling station if disruption of peace is reported.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a notification regarding third phase of local body elections. According to the notification, personnel of Rangers and Army have been granted rights to enter a polling station if there is a problem of peace and security.
Personnel can also enter the polling stations if there is disruption in electoral process.
