FAISALABAD (Dunya News) -- A coin helped on Tuesday, the candidate of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) to win a union council seat in local bodies polls in Faisalabad, Dunya News reported.
As a result of the local elections in Faisalabad district on October 31st, the candidates of PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) got equal votes in UC-144. The contest was decided on toss and a five-rupee coin afterwards helped PTI candidate Kashif Ishaq to win the seat from his PML-N rival.

The toss was done in the office of Assistant Commissioner, where a big number of people were present to witness this unique style of deciding the winner. It is worth mentioning here that the candidates were uncle and nephew in relation. Kashif shook hands with his uncle and rival who lost as a result of toss.

The polling for the first phase of the local bodies elections held in eight districts of Sindh and 12 districts of Punjab on Saturday. Local polls held in Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore and Qambar districts of Sindh and Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Nankana Sahib, Kasur, Pakpattan, Okara, Lodhran, Vehari and Bahawalnagar in Punjab.
