Summary Will decide about returning to National Assembly after federal govt giving a clear policy
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Farooq Sattar has on Tuesday said that the federal government must stop hypocrisy and devise a clear policy. He said that MQM will decide about returning to the National Assembly only after the government gives a clear policy, reported Dunya News.
Talking to a media conference at Khurshid Begum Secretariat, MQM Rabita Committee member said that the federal ministers are giving assurances about addressing our concerns but on the other hand, ban has been imposed on MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s speeches. He said that Finance Minister had assured MQM that the government’s lawyer will state before the court that the government doesn’t intend to ban any political leader’s address but the stance the government’s lawyer took before the Supreme Court shocked MQM.
Farooq Sattar said that his party condemned the duplicity displayed by the federal government. “Government must give up this hypocrisy and devise a clear policy. If Altaf Hussain’s statement falls under the treason clause then we are ready to move courts”, said Sattar.
MQM leader said that the dialogue process between MQM and government has come to a halt and the decision about returning to National Assembly will be made on November 6, in line with government’s policy.
