KP: Bahria Town's rescue teams reach quake-hit areas

Summary Malik Riaz ordered starting Bahria Dastarkhawan in the area along with medical aid, food supplies

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Bahria Town rescue teams have reached Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday and started the relief operation in quake-hit areas. Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz has ordered setting up Bahria Dastarkhawan (free meals) in the area as well, reported Dunya News.

As the TV channels erupted with the news of casualties as a result of the devastating earthquake, Bahrai Town’s rescue teams were dispatched to help the people in need. The teams of doctors, nurses and other medical staff reached the area with the supply of medicine, food, ambulances and other necessities for survival.

Malik Riaz said that along with food, medicine and medical help, Bahria Town will also distribute cash among the victims to help them survive the disaster. Bahria Town’s Operation In-charge, Brigadier (r) Tahir Butt told Dunya News that the cash relief will be provided after the estimation of damages.
