LAHORE (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that the voter lists to be used in Punjab’s local body elections will carry photos to enhance transparency, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the Election Commission has taken crucial steps to enhance transparency of the local body elections in Punjab. The commission says that voter lists with photos will be used for the local body elections in the province, the purpose of which is to make the election more transparent and rigging-free.
Meanwhile, the commission decided to use the normal ink for by-election of NA 122 and 154 constituencies owing to the increase in cost if magnetic ink is used.
