Summary 11 farmers selling expensive milk arrested from Bhains Colony and sent behind the bars
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Karachi administration has finally become active against the dairy farmers. 11 farmers have on Monday been arrested from Bhains Colony for over-pricing milk and sent behind the bars, reported Dunya News.
Talking to Dunya News, Assistant Commissioner Yousaf Abbasi told that strong action is being taken against the dairy farmers over-pricing milk while 11 such farmers have been arrested. He told that these dairy farmers have been fined Rs. 50,000 and sent to jail for 6 months.
The assistant commissioner further told that price control teams are surveying various markets in order to keep a check on the prices and the action against the dairy farmers over-pricing milk will continue so that milk can be provided to the citizens at reasonable rates.
