Summary The election tribunal has ordered re-election in the constituency.
MULTAN (Dunya News) – Election tribunal has finally announced the verdict of NA-154, annulling the membership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Siddique Baloch, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
According to initial details, the election tribunal has ordered re-election in the constituency of Lodhran.
Election tribunal has disqualified and banned Siddique Baloch from taking part in elections for life due to his fake degree.
Siddique Baloch had won this seat in the General Election 2013 as an independent candidate and joined PML-N afterwards.
PTI leader Jahangir Tareen had challenged the decision in the tribunal.
The rulling PML-N has received back to back blows as earlier two of its key candidates including Ayaz Sadiq and Saad Rafique were de-seated by the election tribunals over irregularities in 2013 general election.
Vice president of PTI Shah Mahmood Qureshi congratulated Imran Khan, Jahangir Tareen and all insafians on this great victory in NA-154 adding PTI s stance remains vindicated.
Jahangir Tareen felicitated the party members and said that the government has taken more than two years to open only four constituencies. He stated that there is a big question mark on 2013 general election after the verdicts of NA-122, NA-125 and NA-154. PTI General Secretary further said that whichever constituency is investigated in detail, that election will be declared void.
Meanwhile, the PTI posted a message about the victory on Twitter.
