Summary New Chief Justice has refused to take the VIP protocol and bullet-proof car from the government
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – The incumbent Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Jawad S. Khawaja has on Monday refused to take VIP protocol and bullet-proof car. He will just keep the car and security as CJP with him, reported Dunya News.
Earlier, his swearing in ceremony as CJP was held in President House and was attended by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, federal ministers and heads of all three armed forces. President Mamnoon Hussain took oath from Justice Khawaja in Urdu.
It is pertinent to mention here that a bench headed by Justice Jawad S. Khawaja had ruled earlier this year to make Urdu language compulsory in all the government offices, Senate, National Assembly, PM House, Supreme Court and all other institutions.
