Summary PML-N leader Mushahidullah Khan left Islamabad for Maldives on early Saturday morning.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Senator, Mushahidullah Khan left for Maldives on early Saturday morning after his controversial interview to British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

In his interview to BBC, Federal Minister Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan has said that the former Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. General Zaheerul Islam wanted to overthrow the PML-N government and take over the country. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had played the audio tapes of former DG ISI to army chief General Raheel Sharif.

On the other hand, spokesperson for PM said on Friday that no such tape exists as per Mushahidullah Khan’s claim. PM Nawaz Sharif has sought explanation from Mushahidullah Khan over his statements

According to spokesperson, the tape in question does not exist. PM Nawaz sought explanation from Mr Khan as soon as his statements were released on media. As per spokesperson, no such tape exists according to PM and neither has PM made anyone listen to such a tape.
