Summary No such tape exists according to PM, said spokesperson PM
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Spokesperson for PM said on Friday that no such tape exists as per Mushahidullah Khan’s claim. PM Nawaz Sharif has sought explanation from Mushahidullah Khan over his statements, reported Dunya News.
In a statement, the Prime Minister s spokesperson has refuted claims made by Mushahidullah Khan in an interview with BBC recently.
The spokesperson said there is nothing in the knowledge of Prime Minister regarding any tape which was presented to him by the Minister as claimed.
Information Minister, Pervaiz Rashid has also rebutted the claim of Mushahidullah. He said no one had listened to any such tape nor was such tape presented to anyone.
It is pertinent to mention here that Federal Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan revealed in an interview to BBC that the former Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. General Zaheerul Islam wanted to overthrow Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) government and take over the country. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had played the audio tapes of former DG ISI to army chief General Raheel Sharif.
