KARACHI (Dunya News) – As many as three buildings adjacent to the collapsed building in Kharadar have been declared dangerous to inhabit leaving residents in panic.
Residents of one of the three buildings have started evacuating on their own. The others have demanded the government to provide them alternate residences.
According to details, Sindh Building Authority (SBA) has shown concern over dismal conditions of three buildings. The residents said that they have not received any notice from the administration. They have complained that departments concerned and the government are not helping them in the situation.
There are as many as 180 old buildings in different parts of Karachi including Kharadar which have been declared dangerous to inhabit. However, the government has not taken any action to evacuate them.
