Summary Anwar is on bail after he was taken into custody on money laundering suspicion

LONDON (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday relieved senior member of the London Coordination Committee Muhammad Anwar of his responsibility because of health reasons, Dunya News reported.

The Coordination Committee announced that Anwar must not be contact regarding anything related to organization’s administrative matters.

According to details, MQM Raabta Committee’s session took place under headship of Senior Deputy Convener Nadeem Nusrat in which it was decided to relieve Anwar of all of his duties and responsibilities because of ailing condition.

The Raabta Committee said that Anwar hasn’t been able to partake in administrative matters of the party like he used to do in the past. It said that Anwar has to go to doctors for several medical conditions.

Muhammad Anwar is among the senior most members of the party as he was the first host of MQM chief Altaf Hussain in London. He used to oversee financial matters of the party.

The Metropolitan Police had him in custody over the money laundering allegation and he is on bail these days.
