LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police officers have claimed of killing suspect Abdullah involved in Lahore bank firing during an encounter today (Thursday), Dunya News reported.
At least three employees including Operation Manager were killed while four others sustained injuries when an unidentified armed man opened indiscriminate fire at a local bank in Allama Iqbal Town area of Lahore.
As per details, an unknown miscreant rushed into a bank on Thursday’s morning and killed as many as three bank employees including Operation Manager while four others got severely wounded who were at once shifted to the Jinnah Hospital for medicinal assistance.
The public also tortured the alleged suspect Abdullah and attempted to scorch him but the police apprehended him and claimed of killing him in an encounter.
According to the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Amin Wains, the detained robber’s accomplices fled the scene adding that the incident seemed to be the result of personal rivalry as no cash was looted from the bank.
He further stated that the attacker was a cashier in Science College and has account in the bank. Investigation officer told the media that the suspected attacker withdrew Rs 25 lac on forged signature which was identified by Operation Manager.
Moreover, Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif took the notice of the incident and directed the CCPO to submit report as early as possible.
