MULTAN (Dunya News) – Plucking mangoes proved fatal for two minor boys, who were battered brutally by a landlord in Basti Malkani in Shujaabad district on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

10-year-old Naveed and nine-year old Faisal were the sons of farmers Shabeer and Rab Nawaz.

According to details, the two boys ventured in a mango orchard that belonged to an influential landlord Khuda Baksh and plucked mangoes, when they were caught and later thrashed violently.

One of the boys lost his conscious due to the landlord’s torture.

Locals intervened into the matter after which the landlord freed the boys after attaining Rs5000 fine for each minor.

Jalapur Peerwala police station registered a case against the incident and have initiated search for the culprits.
