KARACHI (Web Desk) – Provincial lawmakers belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday submitted a resolution in the Sindh Assembly, seeking extension in Rangers` special powers to maintain peace and stability in Sindh, Dunya News reported.

The resolution was moved by PTI MPA Khurram Sher Zaman in the Assembly Secretariat.

The resolution states that Rangers played vital role in maintaining peace in Karachi and every citizen wants Rangers to be empowered in the city.

The PTI said Rangers must be given powers to deal with land mafia, target killers, terrorists, corruption and extortionists.

Talking to media after submitting the resolution, Khurram Sher Zaman said extension in Rangers` authority is a must for peace in Karachi.

He said any political party who will not support our demand for Rangers will be involved in terrorism and economic turmoil.
