KARACHI (Dunya News) – Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Amir Khan on Monday has appeared in Karachi s anti-terrorism court (ATC) in a case of sheltering criminals arrested during crackdown in Azizabad, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, the verdict is likely to be reserved on the accuser’s bail plea.
Earlier, during case proceeding, counsel for Khan argued that neither any evidence nor a witness has been presented against his client till now.
Rangers` law officer informed court that investigation from the accused has not completed and another interim challan is yet to be present.
He said Rangers wrote a letter to Sindh government and police for Amir Khan’s judicial inquiry but no response has been received so far. After hearing the arguments, the ATC judge reserved verdict on the MQM leader’s bail plea till June 29.
Amir Khan was arrested during Rangers raid on MQM headquarters Nine-Zero on March 11, 15. He was charged for protecting and sheltering criminals.
