PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The business points and markets on Wednesday have opened while traffic flow is also smooth in several areas despite tripartite opposition alliance’s protest call against the alleged rigging in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) local body (LB) elections.

The opposition alliance including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and Awami National Party (ANP) had rejected establishment of judicial commission in the All Parties Conference (APC) held on June 9.

According to the details, almost all the business centres and markets are open in different areas including Banu, Kohat, Bagram and Haripur while the traffic also remains unaffected.

However, the markets and traffic in Tank are shut down on opposition alliance’s shutter down call. On the other hand, the parties will conduct a rally at 5pm today in Kohat.

Earlier on June 9, Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak chaired an APC which was attended by Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PLM-Q) and Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) along with opposition and government alliances.

The meeting agreed to establish commission to probe the alleged rigging and irregularities that surfaced in the LB polls. The negotiations between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government and tripartite opposition alliance over the Bacha Khan incident failed.
