KARACHI (Dunya News) – The water shortage in the metropolitan continues on Friday however, the number of water tankers performing duties fail to meet the needs of the people.
The residents of different areas have no option but to but water on hiked price. The owners of tankers are selling water on self-set price. The residents of Gulistan Johar, New Karachi, FC Area, Baldia Town, SITE, Orangi Town, Landhi, Kowrangi, Khokhrapar, Malir, Lines Area, Manghopir and several other areas are facing problems due to the persistent water shortage.
The locals in these areas have been complaining about the issue for a month. However, the Water Board tankers are struggling to meet the needs of the people in Baldia, SITE and Orangi areas.
According to the Water Board authorities, the provision of water from Gharo and Dhabeji water pumps is normal.
